Plant teachers and other spirits

Updated: Nov 21, 2021

It is possible for people, using la dieta, to incorporate mineral elements in order to learn their icaros as well. Minerals such as flintstone and steel can be put into water and drank while the initiate follows a certain diet. They may then learn the icaro del perdernal (flinstone) and use it to cause destruction by fire. This is associated with witches and the intent to cause harm. Perfumes can also be used to learn icaros to attract women. Some diets and plant teachers will translate icaros with animal qualities. Icaros may incorporate animal spirits such as sloths, birds, snakes, insects, jaguars, pink river dolphins, and fish. The icaros call the animal spirits so that they may help protect them, cure ailments, defend against spirits, look for an abducted person, cause harm, attract a woman, or bind two people together. The jaguar's spirit can be called for multiple purposes. It can be called to cure, protect, or cause harm. 2
